Erica Mena To Reprise Role In ‘The Stepmother’ Sequel

Erica Mena is making sure she stays booked and busy. The reality star, who made a name for herself on the VH1 franchise Love & Hip Hop, is set to reprise her role in a second installment of The Stepmother.

The Stepmother 2 follows the story of a woman with a hefty past living a lie as she attempts to move in on a new family unaware of her previous shenanigans. In addition to Mena, the cast includes former Immature group member, Marques Houston (You Got Served), Daniel Johnson (P-Valley), LaVell Thompson Jr. (The Awakening), Justin Sweat (London Mitchell’s Christmas), and newcomer Alfred Nolan Thomas II.

The sequel comes from the controversial creative partnership of Houston and music producer Chris Stokes, who both contributed to the writing of the screenplay. Stokes joins as director and executive producer. Houston also serves as executive producer.

The first installment produced with Footage Films released in the Summer on the Tubi streaming platform. Among those cast in The Stepmother were Charles Malik Whitfield (Atlanta), Cynthia Bailey (Real Housewives of Atlanta), and Chrissy Stokes (Southland).
