TOKYO’S REVENGE Drops Music Video For Viral Hit “GOODMORNINGTOKYO!”

Emerging Hip-Hop artist TOKYO’S REVENGE just graced the Internet with the official music video for his viral hit “GOODMORNINGTOKYO!”

Produced by Cliiifford, the single made major headway when it was dropped on the video app TikTok and exploded after users co-opted the song for their videos.

The music video features a vortex of dark and bright rooms with a head-banging TOKYO’S REVENGE alternating between being dressed in a black leather matrix type or off-white fit.

Directed by James Pereira, the camera shaking video appears to take place in a barren warehouse with the only background props being three barrels, a raised beam and some swinging chains.

Along with the exceptional editing of Chaz Smedley and mesmerizing cinematography delivered by Russ Fraser, the video contains mystic scenes of TOKYO’S REVENGE coming out of an adult film shop and prepping to fight Kung Fu style. The music video was shot at Studios 60’s Grand 2 Stage in Los Angeles, CA.

Fans are comparing the “PSYCHO” rapper to the late great XXXTENTACION for his ability to effortlessly flow over hard-hitting bass beats with rockstar screaming and rhythmic singing that almost comes off as whispers. His star is definitely shining, yet he is cautious about the ills of fast fame.

At one point, the once homeless rapper preferred anonymity by not exposing his real name or where he resides to reduce fans’ expectations of his music.

“I want to stay as anonymous as possible,” he told Pigeons and Planes in an interview. “I want people to listen to my music and not worry about where I’m from, because I think that certain places are associated with certain sounds. I don’t really care that much, but I try to hold back as much information as possible so people think about me and the music separately.

He continued, “If I say my name is “Lil Something” and I’m from Chicago and I’m 19 years old, you’ll probably have an expectation of what my music is supposed to sound like, right? Or if I say I’m 22 years old and my name is “Slime Something” and I’m from Atlanta, you’ll have an expectation of what my music is supposed to sound like, right? You can’t guess what my music is going to sound like because I don’t tell you who I am as a person.”

TOKYO’S REVENGE definitely has potential to make a great impact in the music industry and culture. The MouthSoap looks forward to seeing his career blossom.
