Kevin Hart And Wesley Snipes Star In Close-To-Home Netflix Drama Series ‘True Story’ [Trailer]

“Betrayal is relative.” That’s the slogan plastered all over the promo for Netflix drama series True Story, starring Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes.

An official trailer has dropped and it’s not hard to tell that tidbits of Mr. Hart’s real life has been infused in the storyline of this crime drama — well, at least the fact that he’s a comedian from Philadelphia who is ultimately betrayed by someone he trusts.

From the executive producers of Narcos comes the story of Kid, a world famous comedian who makes a tour stop in his hometown of Philadelphia only to be caught up in a scandal that could possibly cost his entire career.

The stellar bill of actors starring in the film include Theo Rossi (Luke Cage), Billy Zane (The Boys), Lauren London (Without Remorse), William Catlett (Black Lightning) and Abbey Paige (Born and Missing).

Narcos writer and producer Eric Newman penned the script for the limited series and is executive producer, along with Stephen Williams and Hart.

True Story is set for a Thanksgiving holiday release (Nov. 24) on Netflix.
