‘The Breakfast Club’s’ Angela Yee Keeps It Real About Gucci Mane, “It Wasn’t Special”

Women go through this too many times. They flash a smile, laugh at a joke, say something kind and all of a sudden a man thinks she’s in to him. No. She was just being nice. But, in Angela Yee’s case, the “Boogeyman of Hip Hop” better known as Gucci Mane thinks that she was hitting on him.

Gucci Mane claimed that Angela Yee wanted him bad when he did an interview on her show The Morning After over ten years ago.

A clip of the interview shows The Breakfast Club host teasing the rapper about losing his wallet and potentially being robbed. The conversation goes in another direction when Angela Yee says, “You know what they say about little girls, especially Asian ones.” Gucci Mane responds, “Fat puss.” Angela Yee comically retorts, “I was going to say deep.”

There could have been many answers, but Gucci chose to make it sexual. Keep in mind, he turned the conversation sexual first.

The raunchy back and forth candor was filled with lighthearted sexual jokes, hence the title of the show The Morning After. It was not an attempt for Angela Yee to get the digits and explore a relationship. But, Gucci Mane took it like that, despite Angela Yee talking like this to nearly all her guests on The Morning After and The Lip Service.

If every guest thought that Angela Yee was flirting with them just because she asked questions about sex, then she would have a hoard of an orgy of people knocking on her door.

Still, the interview shows Gucci Mane being thirsty, ending the interview saying to Angela Yee, “I’d take money over p***y anyday.” Angela Yee responds, “Well you haven’t been in love, sir.” Gucci retaliates with “I’m in love with you.” Angela Yee says, “You’ll take this over money?” He responds, “Hell yeah, f**k money.”

It appeared that Gucci Mane and Angela Yee had a cool repertoire when he visited The Breakfast Club in 2013. However, when he came to the show in 2016, Gucci and Angela Yee disagreed on the slew of events that took place years ago. There didn’t seem to be smoke, though, because people in the studio were laughing and joking about it all.

Earlier this month, Gucci went on social media to complain about being banned from The Breakfast Club at New York radio station Power 105.1. He said that the three hosts, Angela Yee, DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God, banned him because of a previous interview he did with the group in which he claimed that Angela was trying to meet up with him at a hotel.

Gucci posted, “Wow! So you mean to tell me The Breakfast Club banned me 4 this?”

Charlamagne immediately removed himself from the situation by telling everyone he did not ban him. The other two confirmed they didn’t ban him, as well.

Later, DJ Envy and Angela Yee would do a radio segment in which they questioned callers about who was telling the truth, Angela Yee or Gucci Mane.

Gucci admitted that he wasn’t officially banned. Interestingly, he did do an interview with Charlamagne on the host’s YouTube channel, sparking rumors that The Breakfast Club was breaking up.

Besides calling Angela Yee out and threatening to slap DJ Envy, the interview with Charlamagne was insightful in showing the growth of the rapper and his relationship with his wife Keyshia Ka’oir.

Recently, paparazzi caught up with Angela Yee outside of the Power 105.1 building. “I had a show called The Morning After and we talked crazy all the time to everybody,” she told the Too Fab reporter. “It wasn’t, like, special for him but in his head maybe it was.”

“Everybody told him he wasn’t banned, nobody banned him from the show…He’s the type of person, like, you don’t know what he might say…I guess, album grind time, I don’t know. Stunts…I’m just glad that the story didn’t end with us like having any physical contact cause at least, like, the main thing is, your story is I texted you, I was on your dick or whatever. At least I didn’t touch it…I just hope the story doesn’t change again.”

When the reporter asked her will he be able to come on the show, Angela Yee said that they don’t invite people on the show who threatens one of the hosts. Then, Angela Yee shaded Gucci.

“I think people who know me, know me well enough to know, like, I never would, no,” she said. “Just Google what he looked like in 2009 and you’ll see what I’m talking about.”

They both have something to promote. Gucci Mane just came out with an album and Angela Yee is currently on tour for her podcast The Lip Service. This could be a secret arrangement to promote or Gucci may have really lost his marbles. What do y’all think?
