Machine Gun Kelly appeared to be under tremendous pressure while performing at Chicago’s Credit Union 1 arena on Friday.
A video released online showed an angry MGK with a guitar charge someone from his production team and shove him on the stage. The man tries to place a microphone stand in front of the stage, but is met by MGK shoving the guitar into his chest. MGK then snatches the mic from another person’s hand.
Later that night, MGK took to Twitter to apologize. “Tonight the frustrations from my personal life came out on the stage,” he wrote. “Sorry to my fans and my band. I’ll get help after tour is over.”
MGK went on to clear any confusion for fans that began to tweet questions on whether the tour was going to end early.
“I’m just addressing the obvious. Anyways, tour is nowhere near over so let’s go up till the calendar hits 2020.”
The “Rap Devil” artist seems to be going through some emotional changes. One tweet that was alarming was the one in which he expressed being hurt when he sleeps, wakes up and “proceed” hurt.
“It could be depression,” one insider said. “Signs of depression can show up in the inability to sleep, feelings of hopelessness, irritability and persistent sad feelings or suicidal thoughts.”
The Hotel Diablo tour still has several dates booked. MGK is expected to make stops in Kansas City, Houston, Salt Lake City, Seattle and San Diego, to name a few. His last stop is in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium on Nov. 18.
