Singer Chlöe Bailey Has A Thing For Thrillers, Stars In Sabrina Jaglom Feature Film Directorial Debut, ‘Jane’

Better known for her appearances in wholesome programming, such as Meet the Browns and Grownish, Chlöe Bailey is experimenting with a new genre of films — thrillers.

The “Have Mercy” singer plays the character, Izzy, in the high school psychological thriller, Jane. The credit marks the second time the multi-hyphen talent is featured in a thriller this year — she is also starring in the Russell Crowe and Sam Worthington led pic, The Georgetown Project.

The feature film directorial debut for Sabrina Jaglom, Jane follows Olivia (Madelaine Petsch), and her close friend, Izzy (Bailey), as they cope with the lost of a friend during their senior year. What was once an exciting time for the students to plan their future is disrupted when mysterious manipulations to their deceased friend’s social media account occur.

Jalgom co-wrote the screenplay with Rishi Rajani, known for producing several Lena Waithe projects such as Boomerang, Twenties, and The Chi. The cast includes Oscar-winning actress Melissa Leo (The Equalizer 2), Nina Bloomgarden (Good Girl Jane), Morse Bicknell (MacGruber), and introduces newcomer Chloe Yu as the character Jane.

Jane is produced by Creator+ for Blue Fox Entertainment in association with Inner Child Productions. Producers are Petsch, Deborah Liebling, Nick Phillips, Adam Wescott, and Benjamin O’Keefe of Impact.

Jane is expected to be released Fall 2022, although specifics on distribution has yet to be announced. Watch the official trailer below:
