Tariq Made The Block Hot…Again ☠︎, Watch ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Season 2 Trailer

With one nosy professor, two campus murders, and three ambitious attorneys, Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) has a lot to worry about in the second season of Power Book II: Ghost. Pressure is building for the fumbling legacy of infamous drug dealer Ghost (Omari Hardwick)…and the trailer is convincing enough to make us want to tune in.

The usual suspects return to the popular Starz series to continue the ongoing crime saga that left us with a cliffhanger in season one. In Tariq’s world, he’s distracted by all the women in his life — just like his father was — all while stepping into shoes way too big for him.

As professor Milgram’s (Melanie Liburd) suspicions grow about who killed her secret lover, professor Reynolds (Justin McManus), an irritating detective is piecing together his own theory as he closes in on the weary web of criminals. If the attorneys, detectives, and street ops don’t take Tariq down, it will be the circus of women that he continuously entertains with “business propositions” and promises of love.

Monet, played by Mary J. Blige, appears to still be running a domestic muck among the aspiring Gen Z drug lords that make up the Tejada family. Hopefully, her level-headed kingpin hubby, Lorenzo (Berto Colon), will disrupt her unplanned plans when he’s released from prison. Meanwhile, Kane (Woody McClain), who appears to be tightly linked with Mecca (Daniel Sunjata), is still trying to prove himself and it looks like he hasn’t learned a thing from his past mistakes.

Rap stars Method Man and LightSkinKeisha, along with new addition Redman, make their appearances. Of course, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson ends the trailer challenging Tariq to level up. It will definitely be a season to look forward to and a must-watch for those who are trying to connect the dots in the Power Universe.

The second season of Power Book II: Ghost releases on Starz Nov. 21.
