Rapper Eve Expecting A Bundle Of Joy, Coming February 2022

These days Ruff Ryders’ First Lady, Eve, has much to be happy about. The “Let Me Blow Your Mind” rapper has successfully reinvented herself from a former exotic dancer trying to get on, to a multi-platinum selling artist, talk show host and actress. Now, Eve, 42, can add mother to her list of accomplishments. Eve and her husband, Maximillion Cooper, 49, made the announcement on Instagram.

“Can you believe it @MrGumball3000,” Eve posted. “We finally get to tell everyone!!! You all know how long we’ve been waiting for this blessing!! We get to meet our lil human February 2022.”

The caption was supplemented with a photo of Eve wearing all-black while gently cuffing her growing belly. Congratulations trickled in on the post from her Queens co-star Naturi Naughton, Missy Elliott, Trina, Yvonne Orji, Taraji P. Henson, and Bun B, who is vying for the title of godparent along with Swizz Beatz.

Eve’s career has spanned over three decades. One of the phenomenal female rappers that always had bars that could compete with her male counterparts, Eve has never been the type to let people put her in a box.

When people counted love out for the Philly-born rapper, she turned around and married wealthy businessman Cooper on June 14, 2014. Not only did she embark on a highly controversial interracial relationship that shocked many in the hip hop world, she also built a pretty stellar acting career starring in Barbershop, The Cookout, her self-titled series, Glee, Jane the Virgin, and Empire.

The “Pitbull in a Skirt” has entered the scripted television stratosphere once more with a role on the new Hulu series Queens. Eve plays Brianna, a money-strapped mother who makes up one-fourth of the ’90s hip hop group Nasty B—–s, looking to reclaim fame in her 40s.

Congrats to the couple!

Queens premieres on Hulu Oct. 19.
