‘Love Is Blind’ Music Video Climbs YouTube Ranks, Placing EST Gee In Good Company

There’s a lot of new music out right now. Megan Thee Stallion, NBA Youngboy, Rod Wave, and Queen Beyonce are among the scores of artists heating up the airwaves and streaming services, lately.

One artist championing through the competition is rapper EST Gee. His single, “Love Is Blind,” recently received an official music video treatment that was on the higher side of the top 20 trending Youtube videos when it premiered on Aug. 12.

Now, the video is close to cracking the top 10, edging out songs from high profile talent, including Tyga’s “Sunshine,” featuring Jhene Aiko and Pop Smoke, YG’s “Toxic,” Beyonce’s “I’m That Girl,” and NBA YoungBoy’s “Digital.” The views stand at 1.5 million with over 27K likes at the time of this writing.

Visuals for the video rely on signature rap culture elements via director Diesel Filmz, spiked with graphic edits by Jay Kastle that incorporate pace-changing camera zooms, animations ranging from fire to text overlays, and unique burnout transitions.

The two-and-a-half minute video currently sits at the No. 11 spot of top music videos, a great feat for the former Stephen F. Austin State University football player who caught the attention of major labels after self-releasing three mixtapes in 2019 on YouTube.

It wouldn’t be long before Yo Gotti’s label, Collective Music Group, in partnership with Interscope Records and Warlike, signed EST Gee. Since then, he’s released four mixtapes and several singles, working with the likes of Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, G-Eazy, and Mozzy.

“Love Is Blind” follows the release of several singles this year from EST Gee, including “Blood,” and a collection of songs from collaborative projects. The single is now available on streaming platforms.
