Hip Hop HIPocrisy: Megan Thee Stallion Finally Shares Who Shot Her And Now She’s Being Called A Snitch #Sheesh

Hip hop is dead. Nas said it, not me. This week in Hip Hop HIPocrisy, rising Houston rap artist Megan Thee Stallion, 25, had enough of all the fabrications and accusations surrounding her shooting incident that occurred over a month ago and left the star with stitches.

The “Savage” rapper cleared all the confusion up when she went on Instagram and gave a very candid description of what happened on that dangerous night, including who actually shot her.

“Yes, this n—- Tory [Lanez] shot me, you shot me and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying and sh–. Stop lying!” she said. “I tried to keep the situation off the internet, but you dragging it.”

She confirmed that she never hit Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, despite what messy blogs are reporting. Megan also said that she wasn’t mad because he was being extra with Kylie Jenner at the party they attended before the shooting.

“It’s only four m—–f—— in the car. Me, you, my homegirl and your security. Everybody in the car arguing. ” Megan said she was in the backseat when she was trying to get out the car and walk away and that’s when Tory shot her. Megan still did not confirm what they were arguing about that would make her want to walk away and Tory reach for a gun and let it off.

She cleared up that the shooting did not happen in front of Jenner’s house. The reason why she didn’t immediately reveal who shot her is because she was scared that she could possibly die at the hands of the police. She didn’t reveal any information to the police and claims that she was treated rudely by the cops. Megan never went to jail, but the other three people involved did. Tory is currently out on bond.

“You want me to be a bad person so bad and y’all m—–f—– want to believe a lie before you believe the truth,” she continued. “I tried to save this n—-. Even though he shot me, I tried to spare him and y’all m—-f—– is not sparing me, that’s crazy!”

Megan admitted that the reason Tory is not in jail is because she didn’t tell the police anything, so no need for the “free Tory” hashtags.

This is the thing. Hip hop has lost its ever loving mind, again! It all stems from supporting domestic violence and being confused about the “rules of snitching.” Number one, hip hop doesn’t have a clear stance on tolerating violence. On one end, black lives matter. Some rappers have even tried to capitalize off of the concept. Yet, in another instance, black lives only matter if the person did not make you mad? Ok.

Tory could’ve really harmed Megan. It’s shocking that she’s able to walk around and attend social gatherings just one month in to being shot for the first time in her life.

The other hypocritical element to this ongoing drama is that social media tyrants begged Megan to confirm that Tory shot her and even called her stupid for not saying anything about it. So, when she finally reveals the truth, they’re calling her a snitch? Are you kidding?

This is totally contradictory to the treatment of 6ix9ine who was roasted at the stakes, if only verbally, for telling the truth about snitching. Is this ironic or what?

Another thing, when Nipsey was killed, people honored his memory and respected his legacy, as they should have. However, it didn’t take long before the chatty patties started switching the narrative and sided with the apparent “snitch” that killed him. It went from snitches get stitches, to “Well, Nipsey shouldn’t have called him a snitch, that’s law.”

Will hip hop make up its mind? This is what happens when a phrase and ideology made for the streets gets in the hands of internet thugs. By the way Megan, never ever sacrifice your reputation, career or life for a crony that is not a committed husband or partner, and even in that you have to move with caution. #Sheesh
