YouTube Announces 2021 U.S. #YouTubeBlack Voices, Includes KevOnStage, Ambers Closet, Kelly Stamps, King Of Reads

YouTube is paying tribute to Black content creators in the United States that have made an impact on the online video-sharing platform. A list of Black content creators were inducted into YouTube’s Creator Class of 2021, a hallmark online community that spotlights Black creatives and provides resources through their #YouTubeBlack Voice Fund and #YouTubeBlack Voices grant program.

Check Out Ambers Closet:

“Black creators have played an important role in shaping the culture on YouTube,” reads a statement on YouTube’s Official Blog. “From fashion and comedy to politics, learning and wellness, Black creators have raised the bar for how creators engage with their audience, build community, and propel our platform forward. The #YouTubeBlack community is filled with so many talented, brilliant, passionate, and driven creatives, and we’re honored to equip these awesome creators with additional resources to match their drive.”

The MouthSoap is especially excited for the recognition of personal favorites Ambers Closet, BdotAdot5, Dormtainment, The Glam Twinz, Kelly Stamps, KevOnStage, and King of Reads. Recognition of these channels forever debunks the perspective that being a YouTuber reeks of now real world rewards.

Check Out Dormtainment:

Quite the contrary, having a social media presence and digital platform can reap the awards that so many brick-and-mortar business owners pay for through marketing campaigns and in-house and outsourced content or product innovation. When the brand is yourself, there’s an unlimited landscape for opportunities in the world of digital, tech and social media.

With that said, other content creators we would like to see obtain this honor (if they haven’t already) include relationship guru Tony Gaskins, entertainment news spokesperson Lovelyti TV, Pop Culture Commentator GossipGirl XOXO, comedic duo The Read, and Black advocate Boyce Watkins, who all have been making quite the buzz on the platform for a while.
