Trevor Noah’s ‘The Daily Show’ Reposts Skit ‘Minorities Report’ Calling Out Racist 911 Callers Amid The ‘Cooper Cooper’ Incident

The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah makes a statement with the reposting of his popular spoof of the 2002 Steven Spielberg film Minority Report. Originally released in September 2018, the Minorities Report shows just how ridiculous a racist’s paranoia has become when time fast forwards to 2038 where white people are no longer able to call the cops on black people because of “PreCops.”

Played by Roy Wood Jr., the PreCop can foretell when a black person is in danger. The PreCop reaches the white person before the cops can be called.

The situations include a white woman calling the cops on a black man who is reading a newspaper and a white man calling on a black girl selling lemonade. The skit finally ends with a white co-worker of the PreCop calling the cops on him for hogging the pool.

The skit is a stark reality of the racial tension that has sparked in recent months as stories about unarmed black men being murdered by white cops and civilians are increasingly publicized.

Furthermore, the list of white people calling the cops on black people for doing everyday things has grown and includes, BBQ Becky, Cornerstone Caroline and Permit Patty.

The latest incident occurred when the white woman Amy Cooper called the police on black man Christian Cooper (unrelated), who was birdwatching at Central Park in New York, for asking her to place a leash on her dog, one of the rules of the park.

The recorded incident went viral. Amy Cooper would lose her job as vice president at an investment firm and the dog, which nearly choked to death because of her grip on the dog’s collar, was taken by a dog shelter.

America has a lot of work to do. White people are afraid of black people, black people distrust the cops, and the other races that help make up America are normally ignored because the focus is always between black and white people.

Yeah, there’s a lot of work to do. The first step is to penalize those who call and make false reports to police. Jail time and fines should be used an negative reinforcement to persuade people to act like adults.

That would be a start to repairing the unnecessary injustices people deal with everyday.
