Omerettà The Great And Latto One Up Their Haters With Collab On “Sorry Not Sorry” Remix

Omerettà The Great and Latto don’t believe in treading softly. As K. Michelle would say, these ladies are “shaking the table,” knowing too well that closed mouths don’t get fed. When the two Georgia rappers linked to do the remix of Omerettà’s “Sorry Not Sorry,” needless to say, their unity was more than impressive in an age where people hate for the clout.

From Lil Kim and Foxy Brown, to Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, historically, female rappers have been pivoted against each other by their male counterparts and fandoms. Luckily, the fresh crop of up-and-coming rappers are catching on to the game quickly and flipping it to their advantage.

The backstory — Omerettà went for the jugular pinpointing rappers who claim Atlanta, but are not from the actual city. The single caused a domino effect of backlash and debate. Latto added her two cents, saying it’s “not a big deal.”

Many Twitter users attempted to instigate an issue between the two rappers. Instead of getting in their feelings, Omerettà and Latto joined forces. It’s chess, not checkers, folks.

On the remix, Latto retorts Omerettà’s declarations as she names all the artists who aren’t Atlanta, but helped bring awareness to the “A.” She raps, “We never claimed the city, but made the city the s— that it is for real.”

Then, Latto proceeds to list off the hardest artists that “made” Atlanta, including Migos, Ciara, Ludacris, and Outkast. Latto even mentions her rumored bae 21 Savage, who she collaborated with on her single “Wheelie.”

Meanwhile, Omerettà has continued to show support for her peer.
