Netflix “Non-Fiction Horror” ‘Vampires vs. The Bronx’ Debuts Must-Watch Trailer

Netflix just released an exciting trailer for the upcoming film Vampires vs. The Bronx. The trailer features a diverse cast that includes actors Jaden Michael, Gregory Diaz IV, Sarah Gadon, Method Man, Coco Jones and Shea Whigham.

Vampries vs. The Bronx follows a group of three Bronx kids who are fighting to save their neighborhood from gentrification, only to find that there’s walking vampires infiltrating the Bronx.

The story by Osmany Rodriguez, who also directed The Jay Z Story, was penned by Blaise Hemingway and lies in the vein of a recent year of films of “non-fiction horror,” a hybrid genre of filmmaking and content creation that typically addresses real-life issues using comedy, horror or both.

Jordan Peele has been a master of “non-fiction horror” with his films Get Out and US, and the HBO series Lovecraft Country. Other studios and production companies are trying to jump on the bandwagon, as well.

Vampires vs. The Bronx is set for an Oct. 2nd release on Netflix, just in time for Halloween.
