Metro Boomin Produced Single “Calling,” Featuring Nav, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Swae Lee, Released Ahead Of ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’

In SpiderVerse fashion, the latest installment of the animated Spider-Man franchise is led by a playlist worthy single.  Sony Pictures rolled out the official lyric video for “Calling,” featuring Metro Boomin, Nav, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Swae Lee, an obvious favorite among Sony’s collaborators who was also featured with Post Malone on the 2018 hit single “Sunflower” for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Unlike its successful predecessor, which amassed over two billion views on YouTube since its release, “Calling” uses a slower pace accented by electronic instruments while Nav rap-sings in his signature relaxed cadence.  Swae Lee and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie provide vocals for the melancholy hook giving listeners a hint of what mood to expect in the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The single is just one song of an original collection executive produced by Metro Boomin to be featured on the official soundtrack.  The soundtrack will come with 16 songs consisting of a combination of artists, including A$AP Rocky, Ice Spice, Coi Leray, Don Toliver, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Offset, Future, EARTHGANG, and more.

Shameik Moore returns as Miles Morales alongside Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy.  Other voice actors include Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Issa Rae as Jessica Drew, Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis, Daniel Kaluuya as Hobie Brown, and Luna Lauren Velez as Rio Morales.

The soundtrack will be released into the world the same day as the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Friday, June 2.
