Ludacris Gives Insight Into ‘Karma’s World’, New Animated Series Based On His Daughter

Ludacris is one smart business man. The rapper that has brought us joy with hip hop hits such as, “Rollout (My Business),” “Number One Spot,” and the Fast & Furious 6 single “Rest of My Life,” is furthering his Hollywood credits with a new animated series coming this Fall.

Karma’s World will tell the story of Karma Grant, a 10-year-old with a deep passion for music and impacting the world. Based on Ludacris’ real-life daughter, Karma, the series will consist of forty episodes on Netflix. Each episode will be about 11 minutes.

“This is the story of dreams to reality 100%, and that’s who I am,” Ludacris said. “As we all grew up, there was something that was a staple of our childhood that helped to form who we are as individuals and things we’ll never forget. There were certain shows that helped build us, build our confidence, that we looked to as a form of entertainment, but also just to brighten our entire lives up and I think that’s exactly what I want Karma’s World to do for many children and many people in this new generation.”

Ludacris, who produces under his banner Karma’s World Entertainment, made the announcement at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival where Netflix released still images of the new animated series, according to Deadline. Over the years, the former radio host has successfully crossed over into film, most notably starring in the Fast & Furious franchise. His first experience as an executive producer occurred in 2005 with the documentary Ludacris: The Red Light District. Since then, his producer portfolio includes ATL: The Untold Story of Atlanta’s Rise in the Rap Game, The Ride and John Henry.

Chris “Ludacris” Bridges’ latest endeavor brings him joy as it solely focuses on his daughter and family life.

He continued, “I believe Karma is going to be a much bigger artist than Ludacris has ever been.”
