The always self-aware Keke Palmer dropped the music visual to her single “Virgo Tendencies” on August 25. The visual dropped just in time for her new 12-track EP Virgo Tendencies, Pt. I and upcoming gig as the host of the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, airing this Sunday, August 30.
Directed by Lawrence S. Murray, the triple threat actress, host and singer thoroughly addresses a love gone wrong in the visual for the single.
Donning an all-black négligée with matching sheer robe, the beauty glides through her modern two-story house when her man returns home in the middle of the night to an angry Keke. It’s a classic breakup scenario. She sings about the traits of a Virgo as she sips a drink and clears out a closet with her ex-lover’s possessions.
The lyrics standout the most when Keke sings, “Should prolly always wear long sleeve, when you wear your heart on your shoulder, I got Virgo tendencies, cross me once and it’s over.”
