Jonah Hill Wears Gucci And Names “Mixed Race” People In The Boundary Pushing Film ‘You People,’ Starring Eddie Murphy And Nia Long

Jonah Hill is one brave man! The actor is going head to head with Eddie Murphy and Nia Long in the new comedy film from director Kenya Barris titled You People.

An official teaser released by Netflix shows Hill having a very awkward conversation about interracial relationships with the parents of his girlfriend (Lauren London) played by Murphy and Long.

The synopsis reads, “A new couple (Hill, London) fall in love and find themselves confronting societal expectations and generational differences amidst their families’ clashing cultures.”

The devil is in the details for this official teaser. The one-and-a-half minute clip reveals Hill’s slow-dying calamity as he sits at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles donning a Gucci shirt — the company was under fire a couple of years ago for designing racist garb, discriminating against Black customers, and executing unfair hiring practices.

On top of this fashion faux pas upon meeting his girlfriend’s woke Black parents, Hill proceeds to list Malcolm X as the greatest of all time of “mixed-race” people. Meanwhile, Murphy is on the cusp of a heart attack!

Whew!  We’re hoping Jonah makes it out alive in this one…

You People is co-written and co-produced by Hill and Barris.  The film stars an amazing cast that includes Murphy, Long, Hill, London, Andrea Savage, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David Duchovny, Rhea Perlman, La La Anthony, Deon Cole, and Andrew Schulz, to name a few.

You People is set to release Jan. 27, 2023 on Netflix.
