Deion Sanders Graces Social Media With Clips Of Brittany Renner’s Good Deed Helping Athletes Learn “The Game” At Jackson State

Football legend Deion Sanders has never been an average thinker. The former Dallas Cowboy cornerback turned head coach of the Jackson State Tigers made the most unexpected move when he booked social media influencer and former soccer athlete Brittany Renner to have a real discussion on “the game.”

That game being the traps that come with being popular or wealthy, including being targeted by potential suitors who may not have their best interests at heart — ironic, considering how many people have attempted to categorize Renner into this group. But, Renner’s reputation didn’t phase Mr. Prime Time. He knew that Renner, who was a student at the college in the past, would get the guys’ attention, and he wasn’t wrong.

Renner walked into a classroom full of athletes as they exchanged “oohhs” and “ahhhs.” Renner seemed a bit uncomfortable at first, but quickly acclimated and got right to the point.

“My DMs, it’s like a Nike store, there’s nothing but blue checks,” Renner shared with the room. “So honestly when you reach a certain status you can have a pick of the litter.”

It’s the hypocrisy of it all. How publicly, men (and women) will reprimand Renner for being honest about relations between the sexes in her particular league or social circles, but turn around and jump in her DMs with the same intentions…to gain clout, to have a rendezvous, or for a money play.

Renner, who has been on both sides of “the game,” knows first-hand the experience of being used. She warns the football players that “everybody wants something.”

“Once you reach that level of popularity, the world is your oyster. You can do whatever you want,” Renner continues. “They don’t see you as human anymore.”

It’s a sad reality for people who obtain success and wealth. Even those with good intentions initially are not safe from getting burned by users and abusers. Eventually, that good person learns the ropes and turns into the very people that they once despised.

Case in point, rapper and actor Aubrey “Drake” Graham clearly has a desire for something authentic and wholesome, but after being shuffled through the hall of lame, he too participates in the f—ery that is best demonstrated by his fellow music peers, such as Future. As Renner explained to the young men in that room, you either eat or get ate.

On the other end of the spectrum, Renner, speaking with passion, addresses the serial cheaters who end up losing a whole lot more than trust.

“There is a cost at telling the truth but there is a greater cost when you lie,” Renner said. “When you cheat, you really are cheating yourself out of something real.”

Sanders added, “You’re either adding to me or helping me multiply or you’re subtracting and dividing. And all those people that are subtracting and dividing with the little pettiness and all that, they got to go. They in there for just a moment because I dismiss them, flush them, and move on to the next page. I don’t even look back.”

Watching the tidbits of videos Sanders so graciously released for our consumption on social media, it’s now evident that Renner clearly has a lane with purpose. Depending on how she wields her power, she can really make a difference in people’s lives with her experience and critical thinking skills.

She solidified her capstone session with a sad realization about finding love in such a treacherous game.

She revealed, “To be able to decipher who loves you for you is the billion dollar question.”
