Comedian Melanie Hearn And DJB Launch Monthly Event ‘Last Tuesday’ To Spotlight Rising Talent

Hollywood is the treasure chest for aspiring talent all over the world. People travel far distances to relocate to the City of Angels to see if they can make it “do what it do”.

Comedian Melanie Hearn is among those that is turning her dreams into reality. Arriving from Detroit, MI and with just three months in Los Angeles, she has already bossed up with a new comedy show called Last Tuesday.

The event, held on every last Tuesday of the month, is a hub for up-and-coming comedic talent and the movers and shakers of the comedy world.

The first show kicked off on January 28th to a packed-out house. Positive vibes and great energy filled the venue located in Glendale, CA.

It helped that admission to the show was free and there was an open bar. But, the biggest attraction of it all was Hearn’s eclectic lineup that included the likes of Ashley Mathaw, Brandon Lawrence, Markus Olind and Saul Trujillo.

Produced by real-life disc jockey DJB, Party On Demand and Melanie J Comedy, Last Tuesday is a formidable platform for comedians to break ground or try out material.

DJB held the music down, creating a club-like atmosphere that dangles between a great affair for date night or just linking up with the homies.

Hearn graciously sat down with the MouthSoap team to give an exclusive interview on her new venture Last Tuesday and her brand of comedy.

She also discussed the latest in pop culture, such as Monique’s new special on Showtime, the Steve Harvey and Mark Curry joke stealing dispute, and the revival of comedian greats Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence and Dave Chappelle.
