Beyonce: Breaking Records And Taking Names

It’s very rare for Beyonce to toot her own horn outside of lyrics in her music.  Her mother taught her better than that (Yes, that’s a “Survivor” reference).

The “Break My Soul” artist took home the Best Dance/Electronic Music Album at the Grammys for her 2022 album Renaissance, breaking the all-time record for the artist with the most Grammy wins.

Beyonce Wins Grammy For Best Dance/Electronic Music Album:

Beyonce has been nominated for 88 — tying with her husband, Jay-Z — and won 32 Grammys throughout her astonishing career, surpassing the likes of Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Taylor Swift, and Adele.  Georg Solti, the late Hungarian-British orchestral and operatic classical conductor known for his role as music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, previously held the record with 31 Grammy wins.

At the time of this writing, Beyonce nabbed Grammys at the 2023 music ceremony for Best R&B song for “CUFF IT,” Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “BREAK MY SOUL,” and Traditional R&B Performance for “PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA”.

In total, Beyonce was the most nominated artist at the 2023 Grammys with nom nods for the Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, Best R&B Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, and Best R&B Song.
