WWE Signs Simone Johnson, Becomes Youngest Signee And First Fourth-Generation Superstar

Her name is Simone Johnson. If you don’t know her, you will soon. At the moment, she’s known as the youngest person to sign with the popular World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in its history.

There’s one more thing. The 18-year-old is also the daughter to a superstar known as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The one that transitioned from football to acting, with Jumanji: The Next Level being his latest action film. Yeah, that one.

Johnson made the announcement on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“She signed her contract with the WWE,” he said during the interview with Fallon. “First of all, I mean, what an honor that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps, but more importantly — she actually wants to create and blaze her own path…”

Following in her father’s footsteps, Simone has broken another record by being the “first fourth-generation Superstar” to serve in the WWE. Dwayne Johnson wrestled following his father the late Rocky Johnson and grandfather Peter Maivia.

Simone, who has trained since the age of 16, signed with the billion dollar enterprise in February. She is now professionally training at the Performance Center in Florida. Congrats!
