They’re Back! Wu-Tang: An American Saga Season 2 [Official Trailer]

Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga is finally making its return after a nearly two-year hiatus. An official trailer and release date was unveiled late on Friday (Aug. 7). The first season premiered on Sept. 4, 2019 with three episodes. The series continued to run with seven episodes through Oct. 23, 2019.

The premise of the series surrounds the formation of super rap group Wu-Tang Clan created by Bobby Diggs, better known as RZA, who unites a dozen young, black men that are torn between music and the streets.

On the last season, viewers saw young men from Staten Island, New York struggle through the pressures of street life and poverty, all while the initial brush with music fame came through RZA’s first attempt as an artist under the pseudo name Rakeem. Viewers also saw what appeared to be an end of an era for the group of men as they found themselves in complicated predicaments in the finale.

In season two, it appears that RZA has a stint in prison, while his sister Shurrie (Zolee Griggs) has her baby with Ghostface Killer (Siddiq Saunderson). The story continues, showing Wu-Tang’s epic rise as a part of the Def Jam Recordings family.

Original cast members, Ashton Sanders, Shameik Moore, Saunderson, Dave East, T.J. Atoms, Erika Alexander, and Griggs, are all returning for the second season. La La Anthony also makes a surprise appearance as a label executive.

Season 2 of Wu-Tang: An American Saga premieres on Hulu on Sept. 8.
