‘They Cloned Tyrone’ Official Trailer Reveals Deeper Plot In Netflix Film

Jamie Foxx, Teyonah Parris, and John Boyega star in the sci-fi mystery comedy They Cloned Tyrone.  The official trailer for the Netflix film dropped on Tuesday, June 13 providing viewers with nearly three-minutes of plot footage.

Juel Taylor co-writes, alongside Tony Rettenmaier, and directs the star-studded cast in a story about a hustler, pimp, and “pro” who experience a series of events in their neighborhood, leading them on a path to uncover a government cloning conspiracy.

An official storyline for the film states, “Fontaine (Boyega), a neighborhood drug dealer, is shot dead by rival Isaac and then is very shocked to wake up in his bed the next morning unharmed. He and Slick Charles and Yo-Yo begin looking into the incident, and their search eventually leads them to a vast underground complex where a government backed lab is performing experiments on the local Black population. Realizing that he is an artificial clone controlled by Nixon, Fontaine initially feels despair, but decides he needs to stand up to these White institutional overlords for the sake of his neighborhood.”

The film includes actors Kiefer Sutherland (The First Lady), David Alan Grier (The Patient), J. Alphonse Nicholson (P-Valley), and Tyler Antonius (House of Payne).

They Cloned Tyrone will be available to stream July 21 on Netflix.
