Pornhub Exposed For Profiting Off Of Rape And Sex Trafficking Of Minors

Pornhub is under fire after the website was exposed for exploiting the rape and sex trafficking of women and children, according to a video created by the #Traffickinghub movement that went viral this week.

The pornography website is alleged to be profiting off of videos of victims that were forced into the sex trade or prostitution rings. Because there is no age limit restrictions, the website is easily accessible to minors and fails to filter out videos that are age inappropriate.

In one instance, a 15-year-old Florida girl that went missing for an entire year was later discovered on the website featured on 58 videos posted on Pornhub.

This is just one example. However, a total of 118 cases were verified by the Internet Watch Foundation to be incidents of rape and sexual abuse of minors.

Traffickinghub is demanding that Pornhub be shut down permanently.

“The world is waking up to the fact that Pornhub is infested with videos of the real rape and sex trafficking of underage victims as well as vulnerable women. There are now millions around the globe boycotting the site and calling for Pornhub to be shut down,” said campaign founder Laila Mickelwait.

The entity issued a petition, backed by anti-trafficking and child protection groups, to execute the closure. So far, the petition has gained 1.5 million signatures. To further enforce the closure of Pornhub, adult entertainers are also petitioning to ban the company for its illegal actions.

Owned and operated by parent company Mindgeek, Pornhub generates over 40 billion views a year.
