P. Diddy Dance-A-Thon A Major Success Raising Millions For Frontline Workers And Stirring Controversy For The “Lizzo Incident”

The latest trend of Instagram parties is producing some wonderful moments and memories. REVOLT TV founder P. Diddy heard the news that frontline workers needed more funding to acquire personal protection equipment (PPE), such as masks and gloves, so he figured he’d do something about it.

On Easter (April 12), Diddy hosted his dance-a-thon where he accepted requests from his celebrity friends to join him in a dance off, of sorts. He had an A-list roster come through, including the likes of Drake, Will Smith, Cardi B, DJ Khaled and more.

The fundraiser has raised more than $3.7 million, according to the Team Love website. People can continue making donations at teamlove.com.

But, the fans went particularly crazy when Jennifer Lopez, Diddy’s ex, joined the live to dance to “Suavemente” and “Been Around The World – The Remix” with Lopez’s bae Alex Rodriquez in the background.

The very mature lovers-turned-friends were able to have a pure moment of fun dancing, and it was quite refreshing. Of course, J. Lo has a lot to be happy about. She not only has had a great career, but she also was able to fulfill her dream of having a happy and healthy family. With her beau A. Rod by her side, she’s doing quite alright.

Drake joined the dance-a-thon doing his “Toosie Slide” in what appeared to be a very dope OVO home theater. Diddy also praised the star for his hip hop impact saying the rapper was in his top five rappers of all time!

“There’s something I wanted to say to you, very very important,” said Diddy. “I’ve been a study of music — science, art, mathematician. The actual numbers and codes that goes into it,” said Diddy. “So when they talk about the top five. All of those cats got a special code, you know. Two years ago, three years ago, I didn’t know. It’s clear the work you put in, you’re in my official top five.”

Drake has been using this time to work, work out, and work on himself. He mentioned on the live how he’s been focusing on his music. “I’m working on the album, I’ve been working on it for a while now,” said the Scorpion artist. “I remember the last time I had to sit down was when I tore my ACL (in 2009). And I made a great album out of that. Obviously god has us all inside the house right now. Definitely, it’s the most excited I’ve been about an album in a long time.”

He continued, “There’s always a silver lining in the toughest times,” said Drake on the dance-a-thon. “I think as human beings we’re coming closer together. The key is, — this is definitely the most pivotal moment in history that we’ve experienced. Let’s just not forget about it like we always do. We live such a fast pace life that we tend to forget about things that just happened, no matter how important they are.”

Also, Draya Michele graced us with an appearance, a delight for Basketball Wives fans. But, you know in this world you can never just have a good time without a little controversy.

Right before Draya got on the live, singer Lizzo was ready to give her all with a big booty twerk only to be shutdown midway by Diddy who asked her to keep it family friendly. People went onto social media to express their thoughts on what they perceive to be fat-shaming.

On Monday, Diddy responded to fans criticizing him for cutting Lizzo short on the twerking. “When I stopped the music it was ’cause it had a lot of curses in there [the music]. Not ’cause she was twerking. She’s one of the best twerkers in the world,” Diddy explained. “But, Lizzo, we love you. Everybody stop looking for the negative. Look for the positive, man.”
