Nick Cannon Faces Claims Of Anti-Semitism For Latest Podcast Episode Amid News He’s Expecting A New Baby

Nick Cannon had some big news over the weekend. The fan favorite was embroiled in controversy as news broke that his latest recording of his podcast Cannon’s Class was anti-semitic and anti-gay.

To top that, it was confirmed that he is expecting another child with beauty queen Brittany Bell. Bell hinted at the news by posting a photo of her growing belly in a leather jumpsuit on Instagram. She captioned the photo “Cannon ball,” referencing Nick Cannon’s last name and her noticeable pregnancy. This is the second child for the unofficial couple.

However, the baby news that was released on Tuesday (July 13) could not overshadow the accusations of Cannon spreading anti-semitic theories on his latest installment of his podcast, which was originally recorded in 2019.

Conspiracy theorists and former Public Enemy member Professor Griff, born Richard Griffin, was on the show as they discussed the state of the black community.

“My podcast is specifically an academic podcast to have tough and difficult conversations based off of text. And if we read something and something’s not accurate, let’s do away with it,” Cannon said in a statement. “I can’t wait to sit down with some people that can help educate me and help further this conversation. I want to be corrected.”

After heaps of backlash, Cannon invited Jewish rabbis to join him in conversation on his podcast. He is hoping that the discourse will bring enlightenment and understanding.

“There’s no malice or negative intent, but in a time like 2020 we got to have these conversations,” Cannon said. “And if there’s an assumption that is perceived as ignorant, let’s debunk it right away.”
