Netflix To Livestream ‘Katt Williams: The Dark Matter Tour’ At Inglewood’s YouTube Theater

One of the most anticipated tours since his appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay, Katt Williams: The Dark Matter Tour, will exclusively stream live on Netflix. The ongoing stand-up comedy tour will be the comedian’s third Netflix special, his first two were Katt Williams: Great America (2018) and Katt Williams: World War III (2022). The event, taking place on May 4 at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, CA, is part of the city-wide Netflix is a Joke Fest.

Netflix’s very first live stream was the Emmy-nominated comedy special Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, premiering on March 5, 2023. While the first livestream worked well, Netflix did not have the same luck with its second livestream. The new feature failed to broadcast the live premiere of Love Is Blind: Reunion due to technical difficulties. Since then, Netflix has successfully aired three live streams.

Netflix is a Joke Fest, an 11-day comedy experience showcasing over 350 comedians, is set for May 2-12 at several venues in Los Angeles — a good thing, considering what Williams had to say about his fellow peers, who will be performing neighborhoods away from the YouTube Theater.

Jerry Seinfeld, Jim Gaffigan, Nate Bargatze, and Sebastian Maniscalco will kickstart the event with a preview on the evening of May 1 at the Hollywood Bowl. The following day’s schedule includes a sold-out Ali Wong at The Wiltern, Wanda Sykes at The Dolby, and Deon Cole at the Los Angeles Theatre.

Chris Rock will hold residency at the Hollywood Palladium starting May 3, the Greatest Roast of All Time in honor of Tom Brady will take place on May 5, and Kevin Hart and Trevor Noah will be at the Hollywood Bowl on May 10 and May 11, respectively.
