Ice Cube has an important message for the people. The legendary rapper released a video online on Monday (August 3) discussing the upcoming 2020 elections.
In the video, he makes a call to action for people to pay attention and use their vote wisely.
“I’ve been on one my whole career, this s— ain’t new,” he said. “We got s— to do, man. You know, it’s an election coming up. I don’t think neither party respect what we need done to close this wealth gap. We got to use our vote — this black vote — as a [expletive] tool.”
He goes on to talk about how he is not passionate about anything but change. Ice Cube warns that if we don’t get it right this time, we might delay the dream of equality and making the wrongs right.
