Houston Rockets’ Russell Westbrook Tips $8,000 To Hotel Housekeepers And Leaves Room “Virtually Spotless”

NBA player Russell Westbrook knows the power of paying it forward. The Houston Rockets point guard left a generous tip in the thousands for the housekeepers at the Grand Floridian hotel in Orlando, Florida.

“They took great care of us,” Westbrook told Bleacher Report, after the information leaked from an unidentified source. “Took the time and energy to do their job at a high level. That was the right thing. I like to do the right thing.”

Word spread that the basketball player left a $8,000 tip for the Disney Cast Members who maintained the premises, although Westbrook would not confirm the actual amount to reporters.

On top of his tip, Westbrook, who is known to be a germaphobe, even left his room “virtually spotless,” according to reports. What a class act!

The Houston Rockets arrived at the “bubble” complex at Disney World Orlando in July to complete the 2019-2020 NBA season as one of the eight teams seeded in the top four of their conference.

During the team’s two month stay at the NBA bubble, Westbrook and the Rockets made it to the second round of playoffs and competed against the Los Angeles Lakers. Ultimately, the Rockets would rank at No. 4 in the Western Conference.
