TV host Wendy Williams kicked off season 12 of The Wendy Williams Show with former nemesis and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes.
It had been seven years since Leakes sat on the purple couch with Ms. Wendy and it probably never would have happened if Williams didn’t reach out to Leakes over the phone to rekindle their friendship.
What started the smoke in the first place? Between shady Hot Topics and Birkin bags, no one is really sure.
There’s no question that Williams has no problem telling it like it is without a second thought. Some of us love her for it. But, it appears Williams is turning a new leaf when it comes to maintaining her friendships and developing new ones.
The moment that Williams phoned Leakes, Leakes booked a flight to meet up with her friend. Both of the stars were dealing with real-life situations at the time. Leakes was trying to help her husband Greg Leakes recover from cancer. Williams was and still is in the midst of a divorce from Kevin Hunter. What better time for the two to rejuvenate their sisterhood?
On the show, both ladies were beaming with positivity and willing to let bygones be bygones. Williams had great reason to be positive since she recently received the news that her show would be renewed through 2022 on all Fox TV stations. Seems like things are going swell.
