Guide To Veterans Day 2019: What’s Closed, What’s Free

It’s that time of year again to honor all of those that have served in the military. November 11th marks Veterans Day and The MouthSoap has the ultimate guide to what’s open and closed and where veterans can get free food and swag.

Since Veterans Day is a federal holiday, people can expect schools, banks, post offices and local government offices to be closed. Government offices includes the DMV, public libraries and senior centers.

Active-duty military and veterans will have access to many freebies and discounts on Monday (Nov. 11). Forms of validation to show proof of active-duty or service can include a military ID, VA cards, discharge papers and even military uniforms.
