Floyd Mayweather Personally Reaches Out To Family Of George Floyd, Asks To Cover All Funeral Costs

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather wants to put his money to good use and pay for the funeral costs to lay to rest George Floyd, an unarmed black man who was murdered by a Minnesota police officer via excessive force.

The undefeated boxing champion recently learned that the late George Floyd grew up with his business associate and TMT Music Group leader Anzel Jennings in Houston, Texas, as first reported by Hollywood Unlocked.

Jennings, who is the CEO of Double Dose Entertainment, has a clientele that includes Houston greats such as, UGK’s Bun B and Sauce Walka’s The Sauce Factory. After having a phone conversation with Jennings, Mayweather, 43, felt compelled to do something significant to help.

Funeral services for George Floyd are set to take place in Houston, Minnesota, Charlotte and another location that has not been disclosed.

Officer Derek Chauvin, the man who gorged his knee into the neck of George Floyd causing him to go unconscious, has been arrested and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. His first court date is on June 8. The other three policemen involved have not been charged, as of yet.

Meanwhile, the U.S. was plagued with protests and riots over the weekend as people fought for justice and police reform.
