Donald Trump Tells Supporters To “Go Home” And Requests Peace Amid Capitol Protests, Death Of Woman

Donald Trump asks Capitol protestors to “go home” in the midst of a heated protest that took place during an electoral voting session. The protests, which was organized on social media, comes after Democrats won the Georgia Senate runoff elections, tipping the Senate in the party’s favor.

It was confirmed that a woman was shot while inside of the Capitol during a peaceful protest that turned violent when some Trump supporters forced entry into the building.

“I can confirm that one civilian was reported to have sustained a gunshot wound inside the Capitol,” Chief Robert J. Contee of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department said.

The woman was found bleeding and wrapped in a flag at the top of a staircase inside the Capitol.
