Blumhouse Presents Official Trailer For Crazy Little COVID Film Known As ‘DASHCAM’

Let the games begin. Blumhouse is in their bag again with the crazy thriller DASHCAM. From scribes Gemma Hurley, Jed Shepherd, and award-winning director Rob Savage, comes the story of Annie Hardy, a Los Angeles musician who livestreams a road trip during the pandemic only to become witness to the most horrific events of her short life after giving an elderly woman a ride.

In the official trailer, several chaotic scenes are unrivaled in the same aesthetic as the Paranormal Activity and The Blair Witch Project films. DASHCAM is the follow up to Savage’s 2020 film Host. Savage is alleged to have created scenes of the film with iPhones. The pic, which made the rounds on the festival circuit, won the award for “Best Effects” at the British Independent Film Awards in 2021.

The cast includes Annie Hardy, Amar Chadha-Patel, Seylan Baxter, and Angela Enahoro. The film is produced by Jason Blum and Douglas Cox. Ryan Turek, Gemma Hurley, Jed Shepherd and Savage are named executive producers. 

While the film has been showcased in select venues since 2021, DASHCAM will go wide in theaters this summer.
