‘Black Panther’ Actor Chadwick Boseman Passes Away After Battle With Cancer

Similar to the late Chadwick Boseman, who died in August, Desselle was privately battling with colon cancer — a diagnosis the longtime actress received earlier this year. Many of her peers left condolences on social media.

“Sad news to hear about my co-star in B*A*P*S and How To Be A Player, Natalie Desselle,” comedian actor Pierre Edwards said. “She was one of the most sweetest, giving actors I’ve ever worked with. She also was a genuinely good person, I was just with her rehearsing for a play in March for the B*A*P*S play. We were the only two original cast members from the movie to be in the play…I’m speechless.”
