5 Super Bowl LVI Commercials That Shooketh Us

Besides the actual game, there are two other things that viewers of the Super Bowl look forward to, and that includes Halftime and the commercials. While there were a lot of celeb filled commercials, there were five that really took the cake. From a rare appearance of the mysterious André 3000 to a bunch of Joneses vying for the No. 1 spot, here is our list of favorite Super Bowl commercials.

Squarespace

Rap legend André 3000 graced us with his presence as the narrator of user-friendly website developer Squarespace, starring a dreamy Zendaya who plays Sally, a seashell entrepreneur. The rare appearance from the ATLien and Euphoria’s leading star’s many costume changes are reasons why we adored this clever rags-to-riches commercial. Watch the extended cut below.

2022 Toyota Tundra

Toyota takes the phrase “Keeping up with the Joneses” literally when the car company teams up with Tommy Lee Jones, Leslie Jones, Rashida Jones, and a surprise appearance from Nick Jonas, to promote their 2022 model, the Tundra.

Toyota Paralympics

Another Toyota Super Bowl commercial tugged at the heartstrings. The 90-second clip shows the emotional story of two brothers, Brian and Robin McKeever, who trained by choice since childhood to compete in the Olympics together when one of the brothers experiences a life-changing event. Together, they accomplish the impossible.

NFL Super Bowl LVI

This cute commercial sponsored by the NFL and co-directed by Film 47’s Peter Berg and Arthur Mintz of Swaybox Studios is more than entertaining. Titled “Bring Down the House,” the two-minute clip features a variety of NFL players in animated form, including Deion Sanders, Peyton Manning, Michael Irvin, Marshawn Lynch, Michael Strahan, Chase Young, Aaron Donald, and more.

Verizon

Jim Carrey reprises his nostalgic role as “The Cable Guy” in a Super Bowl commercial for Verizon 5G.

Honorable mention is the Hologic ad featuring Mary J. Blige, which debuted a few weeks ago before the big game. Eventful, creative, and grand, commercial season did not disappoint.
